The Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence is pleased to announce the appointment of Krystal Skinner as Chair and Elizabeth Carr AM and Aaron Morey to its Advisory Board.
Appointed by the Minister for Skills and TAFE, Advisory Board members provide strategic advice to support the Centre's work in preparing Western Australia's workforce for the opportunities and challenges of the clean energy transition.
The appointments bring a wealth of expertise across the energy, resources, business, education and governance sectors, further strengthening the Board's ability to guide workforce development initiatives that align with industry needs.
- As Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Power, Krystal Skinner has extensive experience leading electrification and distributed energy initiatives across regional and remote Western Australia. Her deep understanding of the energy sector and regional workforce challenges will provide valuable insight as the Centre works to support emerging clean energy industries.
- Elizabeth Carr AM joins the Board with an accomplished career spanning business, government and the not-for-profit sector. A highly respected company director and governance leader, Elizabeth chairs numerous boards and committees across Western Australia and New South Wales. In 2017, Elizabeth was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in recognition of her significant service to the community through contributions to the health, aged care, education and social services sectors.
- As Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, Aaron Morey brings extensive expertise in economics, public policy, industry advocacy and strategic leadership. His experience working across government and industry will help inform the Centre's approach to workforce planning and skills development for industries central to Australia's energy future.
The Advisory Board plays a key role in identifying emerging workforce priorities, skills requirements and industry trends, helping to ensure education and training pathways remain aligned with the evolving needs of Australia's clean energy sector.
The Centre welcomes Krystal, Elizabeth and Aaron and looks forward to drawing on their expertise to support the development of a skilled, inclusive and future-ready workforce for Australia's clean energy industries.
